Cavtat is a beautiful coastal town and a wonderful holiday resort. It’s still a little-known gem of a destination in Croatia, but anyone who stays here once comes back again and again.
It is 20km south of Dubrovnik, with great transport links, making it convenient for travellers. There are boats to neighbouring Mlini, Dubrovnik and the islands. Bus number 10 runs to and from Dubrovnik, and the airport is only 3km away. Read more
One of the main areas along with the Old Town and Pile, Ploče is a residential area found outside the city’s impressive walls. It’s home to Dubrovnik’s famous Banje beach and a number of 5-star hotels. There’s also 24-hour, pay-for on-street parking and a taxi rank. Read more
Lapad is 3km from the Old Town and just 10-15 minutes by bus or a 10-minute taxi ride from the Pile Gate entrance. The bay is split into two parts: Babin Kuk and Lapad Bay. It has its own centre with a post office, shopping centre and a supermarket. Read more
